Human Development Index

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a composite metric used to assess and compare the overall well-being and quality of life in different countries. It integrates three key dimensions: life expectancy at birth (health), mean years of schooling and expected years of schooling (education), and Gross National Income per capita (standard of living). By providing a more holistic view than solely economic indicators, the HDI helps to highlight disparities in human development and guide policy decisions aimed at improving living conditions and opportunities for people worldwide.
